Our new over-sized rests provide extra control when grinding larger workpieces and are ideal for those wanting more real-estate when using bevel jigs.

The 450x200mm work rest is fixed using a welded steel tooling arm. The 60mm deep notch around the platen provides ample support for awkward work pieces and when grinding or plunging on an angle. 

The powder-coated 6mm laser cut steel plate makes for an extremely rigid work platform. 

Compatible with Shop Mate 2x48" and Shop Master 2x72" belt grinders, simply select size option at checkout.

Oversize rest review for 2 x 72 belt Sander

I ordered the oversize rest for my 2x74 84 Engineering belt sander it was well boxed and delivered on time Ewan even called me to confirm my order before it shipped . It is there usual great quality and fits as it should I have used it several times sanding then buffing with a scotch brite belt on large pieces of 25 thick x 100 wide 6061 alloy plate and the larger rest was great for this . Over-sized rest

I recently upgraded to the over-size rest & I’m glad I did. The over size rest provides much more real estate to move a Bevin jig around, especially for longer knives. A well made 84 Engineering product, I highly recommend it.

Perfect device for assisting with bevel grinds whilst using a jig et cetera

This device is designed with fitness for use and, is perfect for assisting with bevel grinds using a jig. It is also an asset when grinding longer billets. further, I have set up a simple jig in conjunction with the rest for surface grinding longer billets, and works a treat.
