Disclaimer - before ordering this wheel for a Shop Master 2x72" grinder, please measure your tooling arm. The 4" Drive Wheel requires a 400mm long tooling arm (all newer Shop Masters are supplied with these as standard). Older Shop Master 72" grinders were supplied with 300mm tooling arms which will not work with this wheel. You can order a 400mm tooling arm HERE, or use a small wheel arm if you have one.

The 84 engineering buffing attachment converts your Shop Mate 2x48", Shop Master 2x72" or Gibson 2x72" belt grinder linisher into a high powered, variable speed buffing machine.

The attachment simply slots into the standard tooling arm using a 19mm spigot and uses a standard belt to spin the zinc-coated steel spindle.

All rotating components on the buffing attachment are turned from billet metal in a precision CNC lathe, ensuring perfect concentricity and balance. The drive wheel is covered by a powder-coated sheet metal guard to keep operator safe from belt whilst using the attachment.

This attachment utilises a standard buffing wheel spindle and will fit all bench-grinder style buffing/polishing wheels.

84 Engineering's Shopmaster 72" grinder was a huge investment for me but worth every cent. The versatility and capacity to expand this machine is truly awesome. The buffing attachment is very smart utilisation of the machine, quick to install and works perfectly. The VFD speed variability is surprisingly handy on a buffing/polishing attachment. Price was more than reasonable, packaging was top-tier and delivery super quick. Nothing negative to say. Thanks (again) Ewan.

Very Impressed

Have received my 72 inch grinder and quality is amazing. I’m very impressed and happy to be able to buy an Australian product of this standard.
The only downfall is that I won’t be able to blame my dodgy efforts on my tools anymore, no longer have any excuse :)

Had not long bought a double ended buffer which was fine but now I don't have to carry 10Kg+ across the garage and clamp it to a table.
Now I have more space and a variable speed buffing machine!

Buffing Attachment

I run an 48" grinder, the buffing attachment is a great inclusion, where space is a premium I didn't want another bench grinder taking up space as buffer.
The 84eng buffing attachment successfully fills my need, easy to install/remove from my 48" grinder, just uses the same grinder belt I had on at the time.
I ordered buffing wheels from Polish up in Qld, all go together easily and without taking additional space. I would recommend.
