The attachment you've been waiting for - accurately and controllably grind your bevels without the need for a jig!

The angle adjustable bevel rest is a large deep-notch rest that is fully angle adjustable from 0° - 100°. The chamfer on the underside of the rest allows the work surface to be brought to within 1mm of the platen at up to 10° of angle, effectively eliminating any chance of material falling down between the rest and platen.

Simply set the platen and bevel rest to your required angle (we recommend using an angle box for this), then hold spine of knife firmly on the work rest and grinding your bevel to desired depth.

Best suited to scandi grinds, bushcraft knives, hollow grinds etc.

The 300x215mm work rest is fixed includes a 30x30mm or 40x40mm machined aluminium tooling arm to suit your Shop Mate 2x48" or Shop Master 2x72"  belt grinder linisher, simply select size option in the drop down menu above. The Shop Master 2x72" version also fits Gibson 72" belt grinders.

Makes bevels easy

It does exactly what it says on the tin. I would class myself as a beginner knife maker and have been grinding bevels using a home made jig. Although I'm getting better at it I would still struggle to get crisp and even bevel lines with no dips. I'd also get the occasional gouge in the blade that I would then spend time chasing in the grinder, invariably grinding more imperfections into my blade.

The first time I used the bevel boss I ground a perfect bevel, both sides in a fraction of the time I had been taking. It still needs practice to get right and my plunge lines need tidying up but the learning curve is so much faster.

After buying a 2x48 grinder this has got to be the next most useful purchase I have made to improve my knife making. Don't buy a grinder without one.

Bevel Boss

So far so good! Haven't had a lot of time with it yet. I find jigs a bit cumbersome and my free hand can be a bit sketchy at times, the Bevel Boss has allowed me to produce perfect uniformed grinds on my current applications. Shipping and delivery was super fast also.

The order arrived fast, and everything was perfect! Thanks!
