Delivers long-lasting performance and versatility at a great price!

Contains 3M Precision-Shaped Grain, which cuts faster and lasts longer than conventional abrasive grain, on a Y weight polyester backing.

Ceramic belts are excellent for heavy stock removal in stainless steel, metal alloys, carbon steel and other hard materials.

These belts are sourced from, and converted in Australia.

To get the best lifespan and cutting efficiency from ceramic belts, they must be run at high speed and with high grinding pressure. Unlike their more friable zirconia and aluminium oxide counterparts, the extremely hard ceramic particles require substantial pressure in order to break-down and expose fresh, sharp grit.

Running a ceramic belt too slowly or with too little pressure will cause the belt to glaze and lose cutting efficiency. Using ceramic belts to grind softer materials such as wood, aluminium etc. will also cause the belts to glaze.

3M 767F

They seem good. An extreme example is- I can grind (wet) full flat bevels on one 5” knife (hardened) per single #120 belt.

Considering this is neither the ideal grit nor state of steel for grinding full bevels I think it demonstrates the quality/longevity well.
(Ideal would be #36 and unhardened for 90% of the grinding)

Once it no longer cuts hardened steel sufficiently it can still be used for wood and other softer materials. Overall, I like the 3M 767F line.
