It does exactly what it says on the tin. I would class myself as a beginner knife maker and have been grinding bevels using a home made jig. Although I'm getting better at it I would still struggle to get crisp and even bevel lines with no dips. I'd also get the occasional gouge in the blade that I would then spend time chasing in the grinder, invariably grinding more imperfections into my blade.

The first time I used the bevel boss I ground a perfect bevel, both sides in a fraction of the time I had been taking. It still needs practice to get right and my plunge lines need tidying up but the learning curve is so much faster.

After buying a 2x48 grinder this has got to be the next most useful purchase I have made to improve my knife making. Don't buy a grinder without one.

So far so good! Haven't had a lot of time with it yet. I find jigs a bit cumbersome and my free hand can be a bit sketchy at times, the Bevel Boss has allowed me to produce perfect uniformed grinds on my current applications. Shipping and delivery was super fast also.
